Dear friends,
I’ve said it before, I love Gospel Magic Tricks because they are very effective to help kids to learn, understand, and remember the Bible Message being taught.
Often the trick corresponds to and enhances the Bible lesson taught afterward.
Here’s three things about Gospel Magic:
- I always tell the kids that there’s no such thing as magic, and that it’s only an illusion.
- Whenever I ask the kids what’s more important, the “trick” or the “truth” it illustrates, they say “the truth” every single time.
- Gospel Magic isn’t just effective with kids. Often I get adults glued to what I’m doing, and telling me they HAVE TO KNOW how I did that! LOL!!!
I got to be the Youth Pastor at Camp three different times this summer, and I recorded a bunch of the Gospel Magic Tricks.
Many are brand new (my first time trying them out.) The other ones, though they’ve available on my YouTube channel, this was the first time they were recorded in HD and they look a lot better.

Torn and Restored Newspaper:
In this video, I tore up a newspaper and seemingly did the impossible by restoring the newspaper un-torn. This was to illustrate Luke 18:27. Salvation is impossible with man, but possible with God.

Broken Chains:
In this video, I “magically” break apart a metal chain (with some fire) to illustrate that we’re all chained and slaves to sin, and only Jesus can break us out of it.

Who is the Savior???
This magic trick is a real razzle-dazzle one that identifies who the only True Savior is. Jesus himself said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).

Disappearing Sin???
In this video, I perform an object lesson with a silk and a velvet bag to teach that we might be able to hide our sin from each other, but we can’t hide anything from God. Hiding our sin isn’t the answer. Applying the blood of Jesus to us through repentance and faith is the answer!

Multiplying Loaves and Fishes!!!
In this video, I make extra loaves and fishes appear to introduce Jesus’ miracle of the multiplying Loaves and the Fishes found in Matthew, chapter 14. This miracle is often referred to as “The Feeding of the 5,000.”

The Sin Trap:
This one isn’t so much a magic trick as it is an object lesson. I use an animal trap to illustrate what sin is, and to warn that though sin might look fun, sin hurts us. Sin is like a trap. And we need to be rescued.

This isn’t a magic trick, but it’s fun. I share a chaotic way to give out a ton of Gospel Tracts to a lot of kiddos. I shoot them with a paper-shooting gun!!! Feel free to try this!
